In the U.S., April is the National Financial Literacy Month. The Jumpstart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy began promoting April as Financial Literacy for Youth Month in the year 2000. In 2003, this became “official” when the Senate Resolution 48 and House Resolution 127 asked President George W. Bush to declare April as Financial Literacy for Youth Month. Eventually, April was named the National Financial Literacy Month by the passing of the Senate Resolution 316.
